Algae Bloom on Osprey Lake
I wanted to notify the 4 lakes Community about a potential health risk on Osprey Lake. We just had a lab report to identify the type of algae that is occurring on the lake over the last three summers. The lab has identified two of several algae types found as a “blue-green” type (Spiralina & Oscillatoria). These types potentially can produce a toxin that is harmful to humans and pets with prolonged exposure to it, or if ingested. Therefore, it is not recommended that pets or people swim in the lake. 2022 Assessments
At the annual meeting the vote to double our quarterly assessment (dues) was overwhelmingly approved. As a result the amount due for each lot will now be $230.70 per quarter. The 2nd quarter statement to be sent out on May 15th will reflect this change. There will be NO increase of the water service fee. We are now making plans on how and when to apply the three special assessments in 2023, 2025, and 2027 which were also approved. Annual Meeting 2022 and 10 Year Plan Update.
The 2022 Annual Meeting was held virtually on April 26th. Ballots for the 10 Year Plan and Board of Trustees choices were sent out 30 days prior to the meeting with clearly defined options for voting. These finalized options for the Ten Year Plan had been discussed and presented during community meetings over the prior three months. The two options in the 10 Year Plan passed by significant margins and our Treasurer, Rod Case, is now working on an implementation plan for these changes.Minutes will be posted here as soon as they become available.

Electronic Quarterly Statements
Now available – – electronic quarterly statements. Association members now have the choice to continue receiving their statement via regular mail OR get it via e-mail. Those who choose e-mail simply have to notify our Treasurer (Rod Case) and give him the e-mail address you wish to have the statement sent to. Each statement that is emailed greatly reduces the effort and cost of getting you your quarterly statement. No printed form, no folding that statement and stuffing it into an envelope. No sealing and stamping either! If you’re interested but unsure contact Rod and he can answer your questions.
